My son has a 1983 Berlinetta. We have been restoreing it back to street condition. Its not all original, but more so it's what he wanted it to be.
About the last parts we need are the 2 small front grilles. One on each side of the center {license plate area} on the front bumper cover.
I am not sure, but have been told that I 'have' to use the Berlinetta grilles ?
That the Z28, RS physically won't fit. We are not looking to keep this car 100% original but we surely want grilles in it. We do not care how many horizontal or verticle blades/bars another mdl. may have as long as they use the same mounting screw pattern, and fit into the Berlinetta openings without modifications. Do any other grilles interchange or was I told right. That we have to use 1983 Berlinetta ? Anyone have a descent pair for sale ?

The Z-28 style nose is larger than the Berlinetta. The sport coupe (base model) nose is similar and the grilles from one should fit.
