Testing fuel pump pressure

I've seen some info on testing the fuel pressure applied from the fuel pump. What I need is some step by step info on how to do it (since I'm completely ne to this is). I have a 350 (unknown year) with TPI, The car is a 1985 Z28. If I rent a pressure reading device from autozone where do I hook it up? Since the car does not start how do I check the fuel pressure?
I've put in a new pump, and will install a new relay as soon as I figure out where it is. Here are my questions:

Where does the fuel enter the engine?
Where do I connect the tester?
Where is the fuel filter?
Where is the relay?

Any help is huge to me.

Re: Testing fuel pump pressure

Where does the fuel enter the engine?]
Through the larger line on the driver side frame rail into the fuel rail.

Where do I connect the tester?
On the rear of the fuel rail located on the pass. side of the engine near the dizzy. Looks a bit like a tire valve stem.

Where is the fuel filter?
Under side of the car, driver side near the LCA.

Where is the relay?
I *think* it is one of the 2-3 of them located next to the power brake booster.

Perhaps spending 15 bucks on a Chilton/Haynes might be a wise investment.

Thanks. I'm looking for a set of shop manuals to buy. With this project I really need a set.
