smog pump compatible?

i have an 84 camaro with a seized smog pump..i was gonna buy a working one off someone here, but im just wondering theirs is from a different year, say 87,but are they the same pump?

maybe i should have put this in exhaust..my bad

They made alot of changes to the emission systems over the years. Might help to know if both are the same engine like LG4 or what.
