engine won't stay running
I have a 1992 RS with a 350 and edlebrock carb and manifold. I have been having problems getting it to stay running @ low idle. It starts fine and runs at high idle 3000-3500 rpm and once it drops down to 1500-2000 rpm it will run for a few seconds then stall. There is white smoke that does smell rich of gas.
Things I have checked and replaced
-electric choke was not connected, so I connected it and it doesn't seem to work. Must be broken.
-installed new fuel filter.
-check distributer firing order and all is good
- tightened the manifold mounting bolts and cured any leaks.
- adjusted the fuel and air intake screws, they are both out 2.5 turns at the moment. Check them for dirt, clean as could be.
If anyone has any advice on how to overcome this issue, let me know!

Re: engine won't stay running
If the choke isn't working that would be a place to start. If it is stuck in the cold position it will run rich.
