Changing oil pan?
Changing oil pan?
I have a '91 z28 305 auto, and a scratch that was on the oil pan when I got the car developed into quite a leak, so I decided to change the oil pan, the service manual says to disconnect plug wires, distributer, starter, ac, exhaust below the manifolds, and air lines to cat, and lift the motor then pull it out.
I have done this, disconnected the tranny mount, tried even lowering the tranny and raising the motor, and can't get this thing out to save my life. The lip of the pan keeps hitting the flex plate. Anyone have any ideas or advice? I would rather not have to pull the motor completely out, because if I do I really don't want to put the 305 back in haha.
