Fuel pump help...

So i recently bought a 92 firebird. I was told the fuel pump needed to be regrounded, Can someone please explain how the best way to go about this would be. I checked the relay and it was fine... Would I need to drop the rear end or would anyone have a better idea to go about it? I have also heard rumors of an inertia switch/Fuel cut off... would anyone be able to tell me where to find such a thing? to test that before i start going through everything else...
