Head gasket and pushrod question
Well decided to go with summit racing 170cc aluminum heads. They have a 62cc chamber on them. I want to increase compression alittle by going to a thinner head gasket if possible. Searching on here it appears that the factory gasket for the l98 with iron heads is either .028 or .031 compressed. While searching I found out that you have to run a head gasket that works with the aluminum heads. What head gasket would you guys recommend? At a minimum I want to stay at the factory thickness, I want a good gasket too.
I have a set of new 1.6 rocker arms I am going to throw on this thing. I was going to buy a standard length pushrod. Will this work or will I need a different length? Just figured I would ask here before I buy the wrong parts.
Car is a 88 trans am gta with the 5.7 in it.
