??What Flywheel??

Bought a 1970's chevy 350. Has been rebuilt. Looks to be stock rods and crank. Has a fluiddamper on it. Flywheel was taken off and forgot which one went to this engine. He said I'm pretty sure its this one and handed me a flywheel that has no weights on it. He had another flywheel but it had a balancing weight on it(For a 383 rotating assembly he had sitting around). Will I be ok using the flywheel he gave me for this engine.

its 2 piece rear main. 4-bolt. Rebuilt by napa machine shop. pistons are .060 over trw flat tops. Ummmm Cant think of anything else that would affect balancing. If you need more info just ask. thanks

Re: ??What Flywheel??

I know sbc's with 2-piece rear mains are internal.(except 400)

1-piece rear mains are internal on balancer, but needs a weight on flywheel.

Can some 2-piece main 350's still have a weight on flywheel???

Re: ??What Flywheel??

No. On any 2 piece rear main seal 350 the flywheel will be neutral-balanced (no weight).
