TPI 350 intermittent high idle
Hi guys,
I'm just putting the finishing touches on my '88 IROC before the semester starts.
I've done the EGR, injectors and a bunch of other unrelated stuff. When in park or neutral the rpm jump up to around 1500. When in drive it idles around 700-500. I'm wondering if this has something to do with the closed/open loop function of the ecm. It only happens about one third of the time. The rest of the time the rpm hardly moves from 700 when it is shifted in neutral.
Any thoughts?
