Need Quick Help
So i started to work on my project car and like a dumbass, made a rookie mistake and didn't label or categorize what i took off. So if you know where any of these pieces go or what hooks into them, would take any advice. I had to change the intake manifold gasket.
Its a 91 5.0 TPI if that makes a difference

Re: Need Quick Help
Also if anyone could tell me or link to a pic of the order the spark plugs go on the distributor that would be great.

Re: Need Quick Help
The plugs are 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2
On engine the driver side is odd cylinders, passenger side is the even
As for distributor , if looking at it from directly above the cap, #1 should be at like 5 o'clock then go clock wise to each cylinder.

Re: Need Quick Help
OMG... I love it!!! Just kiddin Vert.

Hang on, and here goes.
1st pic- Line goes to rear plenum port, drivers side, to brake booster
2nd pic- Fuel pressure regulator hose to rear of plenum, pass. side, small port
5th pic-Check valve connects to rear, pass side plenum port, should tee before check to go to heater hard line in harness by coil on fire wall, then to drivers side vacuum ball in fender.
6th pic- connect to connector on coil along with the pink/white connector, side by side.
LABLES ARE REALLY CHEAP. Try that next time! Kidding, but they do help!! Good luck!

Re: Need Quick Help
pic 1 is your vacuum line from brake booster to the back bottom of your intake plenum.
pic 2 is your vacuum line from your fuel regulator valve to the intake plenum.
pic 3 is your fuel regulator
pic 4 is your EGR valve.
pic 5 is a vacuum check valve that connects the charcol cannister and heater to the intake plenum.
pic 6 & 8 not sure... it looks like the pig tail that connects to a sensor under the intake plenum to the wiring harness at fire wall.
pic 7 looks like your EGR solenoid valve that connects to your check valve and to the bottom of you intake plenum near front driverside.
I hope this helps some. I am a newby myself, but just went through and replaced pretty much everything that you listed.

Re: Need Quick Help
So I think I got everything put back but it's still not starting, I think my timing is off. I marked the rotor when I took it out and replicated it when I put it back in, but every time I try to start it, it moves the rotor on its own and then it's way off does anyone know how to fix it?

Bring #1 up TDC on compression stroke, and look at rotor. Is it pointing to #1?
If not, pull dizzy and re-stab. And snuggly tighten dizzy holddown
Do you have spark?

Re: Need Quick Help
The rotor is gonna turn, its connected to the dizzy shaft, which is turned by the cam. Does it try? Backfire? Are you sure you are in time?

Re: Need Quick Help
You say no power??? Does it CRANK and Turn over??? If it turns over, you must have power. Pull #1 plug and have someone crank/bump. Engine over till it blows your thumb/finger off the #1 plug hole. Then look at dizzy after pulling cap and look at the rotor. Is it pointing at #1?? If not, pull dizzy and restab, replace cap and redo wires starting at #1. It has to start.

Re: Need Quick Help
Look at balancer and after you finger pops of, it SHOULD be at zero. Rotate crank with socket to fine tune TDC. Then prceed with above
