Just wondering
Well I did it again. I bought another 3rd gen. This is a 91 with the 3.1 v6. It belong to a friend of mine and he made a deal I couldn't pass up, $300 for the hole thing. It runs and drives, he just ran it hard when he had it and didn't do much to it in general. My question is, can I pull the v6 and rebuild/ build it up to where it will hold its on on the road or would I be better off in the long run to go and drop a v8 in it. I'm just debating the hole thing. I might keep the car and make it a project or I might just fix whats wrong and sell it. Just wondering about the potential of the 3.1. When this car was put against my 92 with its stock 305 it lost hands down. But this car has been threw a few teen boys and never had a thing really done to it. I'm not wanting a 10 second car, but i'm also not wanting something that will be left at a light by granny and her grocery getter.

Re: Just wondering
You could put in a 3.4 and do the standard mods, exhaust, headers, cam, roller lifters and it will make decent power. I would search around the V6 boards.
