Header tube size?

Heads on my stock l98 seem to be 1 1/2 inches (could be wrong). Can I put
1 5/8 inch headers on it?

Re: Header tube size?

I would run them if it was me over the 1.5" but I cant tell you if they will make more power or not. If you did loose any power it would be on the bottom end and would more than likely be made up for in the top end.

Re: Header tube size?

I have only replaced manifolds with headers and you always make power doing that. I have never replaced headers for other headers.
