Re: car loses power

Is the car running now? Is it still doing this stutter/try to die thing?

Can you do the paperclip method to pull codes from the OBD connector under your dash and tell us what the codes are, if any? 12 is the standard "I'm here, all ok" if that's all you get.

Re: car loses power

car running still stuttering and mainly when cold code 12 only code

will fix a water leak at heater hose which should make car warm up to right temp for sensors to work right

will do good tune up tomorrow as has not been done in a long time

get better distributor cap and rotor, ACCEL?????
Check and adjust TPS voltage
change oil
fuel filter plugs and wires

trying to get a good baseline as to what i'm working with

Accel is ok. I prefer MSD but new is better than not new. As for what to get, it looks like you got it. Also, if it hasn't been changed, a new belt probably wouldn't hurt.
