Bad hei coil?

1986 LB9 trans am

First of what happens

Was headed home from doing some running around and she just died but came back(more like a surge)/
Than anything from 1/4 -3/4 throttle is dead but re-catches herself .. Timing and fuel pressure is good. Module is good tps is good but I did notice a burn pop mark (like. The one you see when a fuse blows) on top of the coil in the corner next to cylinder 6.. Also the actual could is slightly melted.. But I noticed the cap had wetness in the terminal groove under the cap. It is a hypertech performance cap and rotor... And sometimes she starts OK and idlea and other times Shea running on 7 or 6 cylinders .. But sometimes comes back....

I think that's the problem but won't know for sure if that is the problem. But maybe you guys can tell me.
