It's finally time!! Just a few questions....
Hey everyone finally gonna do something I will I would have done years ago and am pulling the motor and trans from my 83 Z28 and right now looking to put in a new GM Crate motor and rebuild my TH350. Right now I have the car stripped down to bare bones all that is left is the block and heads and I have gotten all lines, wires, and other things I can think of to get ready to take them both out together. Won't be pulling for another few weeks yet but still have a few questions:
1. Only thing left on trans is the torque arm. What is the best route to unhook this from the trans or take it off at the back and slide out
2. The car was originally a manual and still had the clutch assembly just dangling. One I unhook it does it just pull out of the side of the block
3. Any other tips or anything from you who have done this to help things go smoother I have also drained all the fluids completely
Although my car is in pieces I am really excited to get it down to the bare essentials and really clean up my engine bay while the motor is out.
Thanks always for any help or suggestions
