Re: tbi fuel injectors

Doesn't make sense to get new those. They hardly ever fail in any sort of permanent fashion (short of the big nut that goes between the left front seat and the steering wheel backing off and banging around under the hood and damaging stuff), and are SOOOOOOPER EEEEEEEZY to "rebuild".

If it's really lost and you just can't find it, get another used one off the classifieds on this site; and take both the one you still know where it is and the one you get that way, disassemble em, soak em in lacquer thinner overnight, and reassemble w new paper & rubber.

Ok maybe i shouldnt have said "lost" lol. I meant it stopped working. The passenger side injector sprays fuel and the drivers side doesnt. Alrdy checked power to it. Theres a way to rebuild them?? That would save some cash

Well,,, ... ,, YEAH....

They're REEEEEEEEL EEEEEEEEZY. You're smart enough to post on the Interwebz, you're smart enough to do that, too. It's a no-brainer. (speaking strictly as one qualified, i.e. lacking a brain... inherently immune to the brain-eating amoeba because I don't have one, I would simply starve it to death)

Re: tbi fuel injectors

Ok i have soaked them in the laquer thinner as u said and i still have same thing. Passenger side injector works as it should, but drivers side doesnt. What i noticed this time was that the drivers side injector only sprays fuel when you are cranking the engine. As soon as u let go of the key when the engine starts, fuel stops spraying out of it. Im lost.

Re: tbi fuel injectors

reply #5 sounds like an ECM problem instead of an injector problem since the "dead"injector sprays during cranking. The injectors are fed power from the fuse panel-the ECM grounds the negative side of the injectors to operate them.
