Hey need to know what a 305 v8 and a 700r4 trans with about 170k on both would go for I'm thinking if I leave them in the Camaro so people can see them run and take it to a drag strip I could get maybe 500 a piece, how much would you pay? Thanks for the input

I wouldn't haul away a 305 and 700R4 for free unless I had good reason to believe they were both in good condition. 170k miles I wouldn't drive across town to pick them up.

Maybe if the 305 was a TPI engine. If the 700R4 had documentation showing it'd been rebuilt recently, it might be worth a couple hundred to me. Honestly most 305s aren't worth anything. If someone needs one it might be worth $300. Same with the 700R4, I've seen a lot more of them that weren't worth hauling home.

nothing wrong with the combo if someone just wants cheap driver stuff most avoid it.

I had a cherry 305 block at Pomona swap meet yrs ago blasted cleaned etc
I could not even get $50 for it

I finally put "perfect cond, FREE will deliver within 10 mi" and STILL noone would take it.

Someone out there may want it for their car/truck just to get around but with 170k its all tired get what you can and move on
Be prepared for some to offer core prices .Tough selling right now

Just gave away about $400 in parts just to help sell a mint T56 yesterday. Ill never find one like that again about killed me but rents paid

Agree with the above, not worth much if anything.

The extension housing off the 700 is about the only thing of value. The rest of it... pretty much worthless.
