bad fan ?
Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me? After a long drive I stopped for gas and my temp gauge shot up to the 240 range. I went home and parked it. Drove home from work the next day(about 2 miles) again as soon as I let it idle the temp gauge shot up to 240. It is usually in the 220 range. I wasnt seeing the fan come on when the car was running. I checked the relay with the battery and my multimeter. The gate closed and the resistance was .06. I then wired the fan directly to my battery. Nothing. It should have come on right? Did I miss something obvious? Sounds like the fan? I would appreciate the help.
P.s. I could not find any in-line fuses between the relay and the fan.
Thanks ,
Steve

Re: bad fan ?
If you wired the fan motor directly to the battery and the fan didn't run, sure sounds like a bad fan motor (assuming you wired both the ground and power to the battery).
