Printoseal 1206

Always used to use the victor reinz type intake manifold gaskets and used rtv on them no issues. Problem is I cant find them anymore. Now these flepro printoseal ones say to go in dry. I guess hylomar or hi tack on the head side and dry on the manifold side. Who has experience with using these gaskets? Just dont trust it dry to be honest.

Re: Printoseal 1206

I've used them put on dry. Except a little hi-tack or such around the water ports.

Problem with them is that the narrow pieces between adjacent ports moves. That is, they will actually move out into the port area. Have a picture somewhere, can't find it.

RBob.

Re: Printoseal 1206

Been using them for a long time, I use a thin swipe of ultra black on the back around the water jackets and done. Maybe a couple little areas in the middle just to help hold them inplace.
