Missing Part

Missing Part
The picture shows a stock engine and I am missing the part that the arrow is pointing to. What is this part?
The other picture I have attached is my engine with additional parts that I don't think are stock. Can anyone identify those?

Re: Missing Part
Uhhh first pic is the air diverter valve. Its a smog device, wouldnt cause a problem if it were missing. However, your engine in the second pic has a diverter valve right behind the alternator.
The other widgets in the second photo look to be a fuel filter and maybe a regulator or pump, who knows but not stock.

Re: Missing Part
Your diverter valve is just tucked up sideways in there, because it's missing the hoses that go from it to the check valves. Seeing the check valves still there, at least the one, I bet that motor makes all kinds of weird buzzing and farting kinda noises under the hood.
That fuel system is .... special. That needs to GO before it burns the car to the ground. I'm amazed that it hasn't already caught fire and destroyed itself.
A trip to the quarter car wash with some engine degreaser and a $5 would do wonders for that.

Right: we don't want to be mean to people, just disturb them into taking some action.
