power steering pump install on 1987 TransAm
Had to remove the brackets to get my A/C and driver side manifold off and now I'm having trouble remembering how the power steering pump brackets bolt back on. Anybody have any pics or diagram. A/C is not going back on. Car is a 1987 TransAm with 305 tpi.

And the answer is - serpentine belt swap.

Some decent pics of the v-belt PS/AC brackets are here:

Serpentine swap would be cool if it didn't require another alternator, water pump, AC lines, who-knows-what for the AIR pump, and pulleys. F-body serp setups don't seem to come up often or stick around long at the junkyards down here. Probably do it someday. But for now, proper belt alignment and some quality (Continental Elite AKA Goodyear Gatorback) belts are pretty good. I am definitely jealous of how easy it is to upgrade the AC compressor to a Sanden on the serp setup though.

It also takes about 15 seconds to change the serp belt.... which last a long time and never makes a peep.
The serp setup is so much superior it's almost laughable. Yeah it requires some work but the parts can be found used online pretty regularly.
