What do I need to see? ASAP.
I'm going to open the differential tomorrow and look at the gears and put new fluid in (90 weight). What is a sign of "good gears?" What should I look for in terms of wear and or damage?

chips in the oil, chiped teeth, rough surfaces on the teeth, noise while driving, noise while you spin it by hand, rough feel to the bearings whne you spin it by hand
