Getting extra air?

What would be the effects, if any, of removing the grills on the hood of my stock GTA? Would more air flow in since the grills are gone?

It won't have any effect at all. If you want to get more air into the engine, you could build a homemade ram air system by removing the fog lights and ducting it to the air box. There's probably a tech article on this.
