1986 Vette motor
1986 Vette motor
This guy is gifting me a 1986 C4 motor. Has aluminum angle plug heads. Can't even tell if they are original.
I was considering using the 350 block only for my 1989 LB9 motor. Use the LB9 heads ported and 1989 TPI.

86 convertibles and some late build cars had the 128 aluminum heads. They were updated in 88 to 113 with a better exhaust port.

Re: 1986 Vette motor
Assuming it's a complete package with the TPI, why not just use it as is with the aluminum heads? Will have to swap the fuel rail, thermostat housing and some other brackets and misc items.
