Belts, belts, belts

I recently acquired a 1998 Firebird 5.7 l.
It has a serpentine belt that does not run the a/c compressor. Is there another belt for it or was it bypassed ? The compressor doesn't seem to be locked up.

1998 Firebird? This site is dedicated only to the 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird.

Try one of our other sites that is more dedicated to your vehicle and drivetrain:

This thread, on their site, explains the A/C belt is an additional (accessory) belt:

LS1Tech is a good forum for your car.

But yes, your car has 2 separate serpentine belts.
