Tune Up?
Tune Up?
Hi, I just bought a 1984 Trans Am with the L69 engine. I bought it for $ 900. The only thing that I can tell that is wrong with it is that the starter is messed up. I want to take it to get a total and complete tune up, to fix anything that is wrong. Based on your experiences, how much would these tune ups run? Thanks

Welcome aboard,
Depending on your goal, it will range
plugs and wires $40-$80
oil change $10-$25,
tranny fluid change $20-30
radiator flush $5 for antifreeze
I'm sure there are some things I left out, but others will be along to help.

You should also put in some carb cleaner, which runs $20. It will help also to burn some of the carbon you have on your pistons. I did that when I bought mine and it runs alot nicer...I would highly suggest it. Note: It shoots black smoke for about 20 minutes don't worry thats normal
