I have a 92 camaro with a 350sbc. the 350 came out of a 93 suburban. it has the middle-pattern valve cover bolts, and it came with a carb style 2bbl TBI. is it a gen 1 sbc or gen 2

Gen 1 Small block Chevy. 1986-later 1 piece rear main seal, 1987-1995 heads w/center bolt valve covers (Not Vortec).

Gen 2 would be an LT1 style motor.
