There are so many variables that your question is all but impossible to answer.
What is it you're trying to accomplish? Are you road racing? Drag racing? Cruiser?
CID? Engine mods?

One member here (who comes and goes) had a fairly extensive thread on trying to get the most out of his 350 TPI. His mods though were equally extensive.
I'll post the link here.
Maybe he'll offer some insights (if he's still around) @MrIROBZ
It's a long read and I can't speak for it's relevance to you but there a details in there, such as RPM limitations with the stock TPI as well as the heads. The cam spec is in there too IIRC.

ah yes i forgot to mention it is a 350. i know there is going to be a range for IVC not a set one size fits all but im interested in seeing what that range is. Im mainly comparing stock cam specs right now as i would be doing a bolt on build using the best factory parts that were produced. if i were to go aftermarket i would go after a cam that had gains everywhere in the power curve stock length runners provide, i suppose i would be willing to trade some sub 2000 rpm power in favor of extending hp out a little bit further.

What cams do you have on your comparison list now? You mentioned stock.
TPI on a 350 limits RPM, so IVC not withstanding, although it would certainly be an spec of what's picked, you're looking for something that compliments that lower RPM threshold due to the intake. Stock heads add another element. How about headers?
Remember too that any given grind can be installed within a range of IVC as it's degreed during installation for a target ICL. Change the ICL. Change the IVC.

I know that many members here have gone your route but upgrades were many and various.. But to add a cam only upgrade to a stock TPI 350...I can't say.
