fuel pump

i was wondering what all had to be done to change the fuel pump in a 87 iroc and do i need any special tools to do the job thanks

Transmission: 700r4 3300 yank converter

Axle/Gears: 3.27 9 bolt

about five hours. you need to remove the tank. no special tools.

does the rear end of the car have to be removed

does the rearend or differential of the car have to be removed

take the lower bolts out of the shocks so the rear will hang down lower. it will give you more access to removing the tank. get the car as high up as you can. i did it once on the ground. never again.
