Where does this go?
Where does this go?
I had this sitting on my garage floor after swaping heads.
Its a little less than a foot long. Also it is a bigger but similar to the rod that runs from the alternator to the exhaust manifold. Anybody know where it is supposed to go? Is it important?

If your car has the serpentine drive system, it is probably for the a/c compressor just like the one used on the alternator. I might be the stiffening brace for the a/c. Good luck.

Yup, that's what I'd guess. That support (at least on my 87 GTA L98) goes from the top of the alternator bracket (drivers side, by the way) down to one of the exhaust manifold studs.

My shop teacher, last year, fixes the other teachers cars for a little cash. Once, while we were working on our projects, he was rebuilding a 3 cyl. Suzuki. He ended up with 10 more bolts than he started out with! Doh!!!
