ARP head stud question

ARP head stud question

i am installing a set and have to ask-and ive been looking for the answer for about 2 hours. frustration is settling in. when the washers go on the stud followed by the nut, which direction is the chamfer on the washer supposed to face-up towards nut or down towards cylinder head? help

I'm almost certain they face up....atleast that's how I did it. By the way what's the torque spec on those bolts because I had to remove my heads today to fix a leaky head gasket??
