What do these engines pull to? I have been hearing that they only pull to 4300 to 4500 rpm? On the other hand I shift mine between 5300 to 5600........any ideas on what I have in my engine? Look at sig everthing is in it but headers..........Help me out guys.......

I'm not sure about the stock cam, but with those rockers it's not "really stock" since the lift has been increased.

duration at .050 valve lift also changes since .050 comes on sooner. either way, there is no reason you should be revving it that high. your waisting power at that rpm.
The heads cant support flow past 5000rpm, because of the serious valve intake runner valve shrouding. How did you run that best time of 13.5? If you're running 13.5 and shifting at 5600rpm, I doubt that its still the L03 under the hood.
Not really considering the only TBI 305 was the L03. What I am wondering is if the block has been replaced by a previous owner maybe to something better ? i dont know really though it doesnt at all sound like a stock L03

I thought I was twisting mine..................how can yours pull up that high? Mine does real good to see 6000?

I think some people confuse exhaust tone with power, just cause the exhaust is louder they still think they're pulling harder.
Yeah really and since the stock heads with their valve shroud that is supposed to mix the incoming air/fuel, its been showin that they dont make power past maximum 5500rpm. If peak torque comes so low, how is there power so high up?
