Why can't people accept it?
I have a very stock 305 TBI firebird. I have a chip, flowmaster exhaust, and an open element air filter. This dude comes up to me on halloween night with a 350 carbed Camaro. Looked like an 1982. He was braggin about how he had taken this car and that car and some other
. While he was yakin, i slipped my 700r4 into first and put on my belt. The light flashed and I stepped on the verticle one on the right. We took off and his P.O.S. stalled. Of course at the next light he demanded another. So I gave it to him. The light went again and we both took off. Right off the line, I had him and at the next light, he just flew by me while i was slowing down. Sore loser I guess!

People like that are great, especially for us tbi guys because we get two victories (especially the stock ones). 1) Obviously we win, and thats hard to come by. 2) We get the chance to tell them or atleast think to ourselves that they just got beaten by a slow car.
Just because it's a carbed 350 doesnt mean jack. Its all in the setup. You can have a 350 with crappy heads and peanut cam and still get whopped by a 305 tbi as in this case it happened. There is no telling what his setup consisted of, but it sounds like it was probably out of tune or had crappy heads and cam or both. Good kill and I hope he will learn not to talk crap now. I bet it felt good to put him in his place.
