100 Shot Cammed 6.0 IROC vs Heads & Cam NX 100 Shot 98 WS6

http://media.putfile.com/NX-HC-98-WS6vsN20-60-C-88-Iroc

"88 Iroc with a 6.0 LS1 truck engine, converted to carbureted, with a cam, stock exhuast manifolds and 100 shot, car has a TH350 and a pretty big converter which sucks from a roll. The 98 WS6 is a 6 speed, has NX 100 Shot, Heads, Cam, LS6 Intake, longtubes, RWTD Tune. He spun off the hit. They ran 40-125 or so."

That's a cool video, that car is loud as hell. You always think that the camera car is getting walked when the other car jumps ahead like that, but then you realize that the lead car isn't really pulling much.

gah, gotta run. I'll watch when i get home.

On another note.. why the hell would someone carb an LS1. Their intake is one of the best things about the motor, imo.

yeah i agree, the thing that makes a LS1 great is the heads and intake... makes a great fuel efficient setup with great power as well

but tests have shown carb'd LS1's make insane power numbers. but still, i'd go small block chevy if i was gonna carb it. LS1 to me is the best fuel injection setup and no point in changing it out.

thats a pretty quick car. i was so thinking about the LQ9 6.0 liter truck motor. too beat a cam'd heads LS1 on the shot takes A TON of power. depending on what cam he has, i know of a guy making 550rwhp on a 100shot with cam/heads work on LS1. thats good for bottom 11's to high 10's or so.

I know of a 400 cu in LS2 poward C5 vette that is cammed, AFR heads, F.A.S.T. FI system etc etc. That is faster than hell. runs 0-60 in 3.3 sec. and the 1/4 11.07 sec. with a autocross suspension and autocross tires with NO power adders! now thats potential

88 Iroc with a 6.0 LS1 truck engine, converted to carbureted,

I guess that carb setup must be the way to go cause it sure kick butt in that vid! An if the other car did spin I would love to see a rematch with both cars hooking.

Sure wish I had LS1 money!

thanks for reminding me of my tranny

when they race from rolls do they still pop the clutch or something?

i would think that would burn it pretty bad if it didnt spin the tires...

not normally cuz ur already in your pwr band so you just leave it alone you may let it slip a lil bit but not much, now if your just cruising and you see hot chicks then yea pop the clutch and youll get sideways.
