Everyone mark your calendars for Thirdgen Expo 2016!

What: Thirdgen Expo 2016 All Third Generation Camaro and Firebird Gathering
When: May 28th from 9am to 2pm
Where: Heidts Automotive. 800 Oakwood Rd Lake Zurich IL
Why: To gather together and share our love for all things third generation F-body!

We'd like everyone to come join us on May 28th for a great time with great friends and awesome cars. This is a relaxed event where everyone can come check out some of the coolest third generation F-bodys in the nation. Rare stockers, smooth restomods and wild custom builds will all be in attendance. This year we can barely contain our excitement that Heidts Automotive has offered to host the event and provide food for the participants. Check out Heidts here!

Additional event details:
-Show time is 9am-2pm. Must register by 11am if you want your car to be judged in the car show. Classes will be Stock, RestoMod, Modified, Project. Camaros and Firebirds will be classed separately. I'll outline the classing details in another thread.
-Entry is $10 per car before May 20th, $15 after May 20th or day of event.Click here for preregistration details.
-Heidts will provide lunch and refreshments for registered participants.
-Heidts will have their SEMA '90 Camaro and other thirdgen test mules there. They will also provide shop tours and a few seminars are in the works for participants to attend. More details forthcoming.
-Hawks Thirdgen is also an event sponsor this year. Details about their involvement will be added soon.
-Crate Engine Depot is a supporting sponsor this year as well.
-We are working with additional vendors to come and support the event, I'll add those details as soon as they are available.

We had people coming all the way from St.Louis and Cleveland last year. This is the largest thirdgen gathering in the nation! We expect many people to come from out of town and spend the weekend in the Chicago area. Below is lodging info.

Been working with Lon Salgren at Top Down Solutions. He's sending some cool stuff for us to give away at the Expo this year. Lon's a cool guy and we're excited he chose to support us this year.

Based on the response we've seen on FaceBook, it's really going to be big this year. Like on the order of double what we had last year which was 60+ cars.

My car will just barely be on the road by then. Hopefully it won't break down!
