Hi New to the Forum

Hey thought I would introduce my self since I just picked up this on the weekend. 1986 T/A - 305 LG4 - Manual - WS6 - Rear Disc. It needs lots of love but the price was right and had the options I wanted (t-top,manual,WS6). Engine Runs strong and that's about it. Shell is pretty good too. The electrical on the other hand not so good. Someone has made a mess of it during its life its going to take me some time to figure out. The interior as well is rough someone got carried away with a rivet gun on the door panels and made a mess of them. (I'll post more pics in a few weeks when I get back from work). The plan for the car once its been gone over from top to bottom (which i haven't had time to do yet brought it home put it in the garage left for work the next day) its most likely going to come completely apart and restored and upgraded in a pro touring style. See last picture/rendering for my inspiration for this car. Its also going to be a teaching platform for my very mechanical inclined toddler.

Bit on my Background This is the 3rd Firebird/Transam I've owned. My very first car was an 84 V6 5spd, the second T/A i owned was a street/strip car in the end It looked good but the body was really rough and i ended up parting it out. Owned a mix of cars from Civics, Neons all done up and a 05 Mustang GT looked stock but was far from it. I also wrench on and do data acquisition for Formula race cars.

I'm in the Barrie/Orillia area. I've been out of the car scene to long now and not since we move to the area. Hopefully we get to meet some of you in the area.

Welcome, you already have some experience so you know it will be fun. Just curious about the cf paintjob, know anything about it?

Not 100% sure yet. I got the car home then i had to leave for work for 2 weeks.

This is what I've seen before i bought it....It has wiring issues, under the hood the main harness has be hacked and chopped. there are random wire everywhere. dash wiring has also been had at and hanging down (door chime constantly dings). its missing lots of interior parts missing.. rear wing, tires and complete Brake system. fuel lines need replacing. and that was all I could see. I really need to pull everything apart and start fresh.

But it does Run Strong and Drive
