New member - My 87
Im new to this forum from Ontario so here is my car. I purchased it in 92 with 98k and now in 2019 it has about 120k. The car is all original nothing has ever been painted or touched up inside or out. Yellow with gold striping/wheel accents. Interior is black with grey armrests and piping on seats. Overhead console, orig gm floor mats still in it. 305 LB9 tpi auto with 3.27 rear end G80 posi, rear disc, big sway bars, engine oil cooler, trans cooler, bilstein shocks all factory. Still has the original spark plug wires, exhaust, everything except fluids, tires and brake pads but still runs like new. Never seen winter and never sees rain doesnt even see much sun so it wont fade the paint. Underneath is like a new car and gets babied but nobody sees it so Ill post it here. Thanks

Nice car and welcome! Yellow with gold accents but black interior? Must be a pretty uncommon combination. I'm in Waterdown, near Hamilton, where abouts are you?

Thanks! Im in Hamilton and yes I figured this combo must be harder to find since I never see any others. Only 1 for sale in the U.S. I found on Google was the same. Almost all the yellow 85-87 irocs Ive seen have t-tops, 1 hardtop I saw in person but all seemed to have tan interior with gray striping/accents. Everything is untouched original thats why I barely drive it. What do you have?

We should meet up at one of the near by shows this season! I recently sold my 91’ GTA that I’ve had for years, and now I’m focusing on my 89’ IROC. Hardtop, automatic, and very original. Rescued it recently from a fairly long garage hibernation, and got it woken up and on the road

We should do that once the car comes out of storage. So many bad drivers around that i get nervous taking it out. Last year it only got fired up and moved forward and back. Year before it came out of storage driven home and taken out 1 or 2 times after dark on a weekend to meet up with everyone then cruise back home and again to storage lol. What colour is your Iroc and the GTA you sold?

Post a pic! I love the gold trim on Irocs. Yellow black or red with gold are my favorites. I think it makes the car but then again, I am Italian so...lol

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/memb...n-89-iroc.html Here's a link to my thread, I haven't had the car too long so I haven't been able to take a good photo shoot yet, but there are some pics in there! Gold trim is my favourite as well, which I think is why I've always been such a nut for GTA's
