i know its been posted b4, but i need help with my cam selection

i am in the middle of building up a 350 TPI with stock heads. the car is a daily driver with a 700R4 tranny and a 10 bolt rear with 3.42 gears. i'm looking for low to mid 13's with the car when i get done. other mods include CAI, Headers, high flow cat, 3" Pipe and flowmaster along with free TPI mods, and aftermarket ignition. the tranny will have a Trans-go shift kit and a B&M megashifter. i need to choose a cam that will work with the computer, not kill my mileage, and get the car into those 13's. i was thinking something along the lines of a compucam but havent heard anything about them. any help would be appreciated. thanx

I recommend against compucam from my personal experience and listening to others...

We need to know what year your car is. (engine)

There is probably a 99.99% chance it is roller if stock. I was looking for the same thing earlier, but I ended up sticking with my stock LT4 cam, leaving room for improvement later. I've been told to look into a zz4 or similar lingenfelter cams, same with comp cams. I think all of the cams mentioned had about 112lsa and under around .500 lift. Your stock heads will limit your selection. Of course the LT4 hot cam is a popular choice.

Another question is.. how deep into the 13s do you want? You can get there fairly easily with that engine. If you can, get a friend to run some combos through desktop dyno.

well i'd ideally like to get a 13 flat, but i think that may be out of my range seeing as how i want to get decent mileage and also keep the stock heads, for now at least. i was told a while back that the LT4 cam had too much lift for the stock L98 castings. whats the max lift i can put on those heads? isn't .500 the limit? anyone tried out the crane powermax cams? thanx for all the help.
