Serpentine setup with a carb?

I know I have seen pictures of ths done before, but I cannot find where they were. If any of you guys have done it, what did you do for a thermostat housing? My housing points my hose right at the alternator. Any thoughts?

It has to do with the fact that the thermostat housing is set back further on the carb manifold than the TPI one. And typical thermostat housings run the radiator hose right over the top of the alternator. I thought it was pretty self explanatory in my original post. Jeez
