K&n replacement vs. custom K&N cone

Would I see any gains in replacing the stock air filter canister on my formula and switching to a cone style? Thanks.

You would see the most gains from a properly routed cold air setup.

The cone filter is nice clean and easy, but draws in warm air from the engine bay, there's a post going on right now on cold air vs open element.

On my 85 TA I gained .2 tenths and 2 mph going from a replacement K&n filter to a cone style.
