Starting problems
Hey guys i have an 87 GTA with a 89 GTA 350 and Tranny, using the 305 tpi setup with 350 chip and injectors, recent tune-up and all the other bs. So far this happened twice: i went to start the car and it cranked over, almost caught (started) and then it cranked some more, after 15-30 minutes it started. whats wrong???
Any info greatly appreciated

I know this doesn't help much, but I'd say approx 80% of the TPI people here have experienced that at one time or another. The problem with it is, it could one or many of a lot of different things. It could be leaky injectors, bad fuel pump, ignition problem, ECM, chip, etc, etc, etc. It is really tough to figure out exactly what the problem is. Maybe someone else can help shed more light on this... becuase if I could answer you definetly, then my car would be running right now.

Get one of these http://actron.com/cgi-bin/web_store....d=5575256_6617 for $20 it is the best tool for trouble shooting fuel delivery problems in a TPI. It can test the injectors, harness and can check for injector pulses from the ECM.

That thing is probably priceless to a TPI owner....
How and what does that hook up to?? Basically I am asking what are its features, how and where does it get hooked up and how is the ease of use?

It comes with a bunch of different connectors, even one that looks and acts just like the one for the injectors. With that one you "manually" pulse the injectors (1 at a time) while watching a pressure guage, that is the injector balance check.
Other conncetors hook it to the harness connectors to check continuity and injector pulse signals. It comes with complete instructions and diagrams, really worth the $20...and then some.
