Crane Cams

Does anyone on here use Crane Cams? All I ever here about is Comp,I have the Crane Powermax 104224 270/276....440/465.I am currently working on installing it so I dont know how it performs yet, just wondering why I never here Crane suggested or discussed.I didnt want to do any head or valve work other than change the springs is why I kept it kinda mild.

Re: Crane Cams

I do! I've got the same cam in my 305 and love it. I e-mailed crane a while ago when I was looking at cams and the told me that they picked up 18hp with this cam on a stock 350.

Let us know how it feels.

I like the Comp XE series, Because there is alot of evidence of them making some good Numbers.

I also feel the same about the LPE Camshafts.

As far as the Crane lines, Its not that there is really anything bad about them, just the evidence of them making good numbers doesnt seem to be out there.

That dosent mean than they can't, just that maybe not so many people have tried.

So If you have it, great, Install it and Let us know how it works out.
