LT1 Cam?

Ok If I buy a LTI cam and put it in my 350 TPI, will I have to do anything but just install it? And what kind of gains can i expect?

thanks...

If you have an original 350 TPI roller cam in your engine now, it would be a waste of time to change it out for a stock LT1 cam.
The specs are kind of similar and any gain would not be worth the effort.
Just my opinion though!

yeah the Lt1 cam would have to have the Cam sprocket dowel pin ground down (to nothing bacially) so it would work on a TPI engine...the LT1s as u know have camdriven water pumps.

The LT1 cam's dowel pin sticks out roughly .600" so you need to tap it in so it's only sticking out .300".....If you can't tap it in that far then you'll have to grind it off till you reach the .300"...
As far as performance it just depends on what you want the car to do...It's not a very big improvement even if you add 1.6 rockers...Hope that helps..
