now that i know what's wrong with the car, the time has come to finally start getting inside the motor (something i said i would never do). but i know i need to learn this stuff or else i aint going fast.
so basically i need new heads but am workin on a budget of about $500 to $600. since the heads i have on the car are pretty bad compared to L98 heads i was thinkin of putting L98 heads in there with an aftermarket base. i figure that and the bolt ons i already have should get me low 14s/high 13s (best time now is 14.61). which i'd be happy with until i save some more money. and i dont think stock L98 heads are that expensive.
any other suggestions?? i dont have much to spend and i'd really like to get rid of these heads. i would get a $1000 set but that would leave me with nothing in the bank.
thanks!

I would wait and save up for a decent set of heads. More than likely you will want to go faster later on and the stock L98 heads could end up holding you back. Don't do something twice if you can do it once instead.

I agree with DannyT, but it might not hurt to check out local classifieds, Ebay, swap meets..etc etc etc....There might be some sucker that has to get rid of something. If no luck, I would wait and get some heads that will support whatever you decide to do with the car. Just my .02
yea turns out i dont have as much $$ as i originally thought
so saving would probably be the best thing to do. but if i come across a cheap set of stockers then i'll get 'em. even though stock, it'd still be an improvement over what i currently have.
i'll post again when i have enough for a good set and am ready to buy. whenever that may be...
