large hei distributor to small hei?

has anyone changed over? if yes where did you obtain the connectors ? can you buy the pigtails new? if possible gm part numbers would be appreciated also a diagram with the wiring of the changeover would be great thanks

They make a large-cap- to small-cap HEI wire adaptor that plugs into the 4-wire connector on you harness as well as the distr. to coil wire and the coil power/tach wire (3 pieces total).

Engine: 6.2
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 10 Bolt 4.10
$0.50 at the junkyard for the connectors, and 5 minutes of soldering and shrink tubing. Of course I had to cut the stock connecting plug off, but I'll never want to go back anyhow.

Did the wiring colors match up from old to new, or did you have to have to cross check the electrical diagrams for the new connectors to work?
