2 questions

i have two questions:

1. i have an 1986 305 tpi, and i was driving down the freeway tonight and was like hmm...ended up going about 120 then the engine cut out, is that computer based or is there a govenor or something that i can remove...

2. how much does a new paint job cost for the camaros, i want my baby to look nice once again, paints really faded..

1.) You hit fuel cut out

2.) Call around. A paint job is a prime example of "you get what you pay for."

fuel cut out

is the fuel cut out computer controlled meaning i have to get a new ecu in order to remove that?

im just currious because i do plan on modding this car up and i know i would enjoy going past 120...

and i was just looking for a ballpark estimate when it comes to paint jobs, considering i have no idea..

Figure on about $2,000 for a good job, with a small amount of body work.

why would you ever wanna go above 120 on a public road? Anyways, you can bypass the governor by putting a switch on the speed sensor... I think there is a tech article on it in the tech section of this site.
