Exhaust starts making some metal to metal noises.. figure a hook broke and its moving around against something.. get it on a lift a couple days later and everything looks fine.. until i move around the catalytic converter.. its broken inside....

Catalytic converter taken care of as of right now.. but wasn't taken care of in time before the muffler found some of its pieces.. so the muffler is making noise now..

Anybody have a sound clip of a gale banks system.. this was the one i have had my eye on for a while..

any other new info on exhaust setups would be great.

so hypothetically if i had no cat , just out of curiousity, what provisions might i need to make to keep everything running correct?

I never Had any problems running no cats with my stock or modified motors!!

 

one of my cats crapping out and the muffler being trashed is what just happened to mine, too. gotta hate having to put new exhaust on - headers on back. can't wait to hear the new stuff, but the whole train is out of the body right now...

I had a cat fail to, replaced it with a random-tech unit. The honeycomb seems to be fragile.
