Surging at 30+ MPH

Maybe you guys can help me out... Before the 87 was surging and bogging off idle. It seemed to go away after my dad did something a guy at a dealer told him to do(something bout clearing ECU memory). So it was fine today going to class, but then all of a sudden when i got to like 30-35mph it started surging again. When i left class it was ok untill i the car warmed up and started surging again... what is going on with my car?
Also I just bought gas at the mobil a few hours prior to this occuring.

Could be a tank of really ****ty gas, but doubt it. I would clear your fault codes again, set the minimum air adjustment and check your tps voltage. Those three things should give you a nice steady idle. My car was surging pretty bad last week, came to find out it was a burnt plug wire. But new msd 8.5's and all the 3 things I mentioned before made the car smooth as butter.

Test your fuel pressure if checking the ignition system doesn't seem to help (make sure you check the cap and rotor too, my 3rd gens seem to love to eat them up in no time!) Also if you haven't ever replaced it check out the fuel filter.
