Wtf???

I have a friend that owns a dyno tune shop and I decided to go just see how much the SLP CAI I recently bought was really helping me. I noticed that it had helped more than my old K&N drop-ins, but not this much! I dyno'd my car with the K&N drop-ins and my RWHP sat right at 252 RWHP. After I replaced this with the SLP CAI and then dyno'd my car I was pushing 266 RWHP!! Why would just an SLP CAI kit add 14 RWHP?? Was there something wrong with my old K&N's or air intake system? If it really adds this much, I HIGHLY recommend this set-up, because 14 RWHP is just crazy from that.

Because you apparently had an intake restriction with the old installation.

yeah, the air intake is extremely restrictive. Thats why. Install some headers, full exhaust and see what happens next time you race a TPI vette

I belive the install for a CAI requires moving the battery. Buy some long battery cables and put it in the trunk
