Help with heads and intake.
Hey everyone, right now i'm kinda stuck, because i'm not sure on what i want to go with yet, or which would yield me more results. The first setup was:
Accel Super Ram - Plenum and runners
SCDC TPI Vortec Baseplate
GM Vortec Heads machined for .550"
and whatever other goodies to go along with it (cam, injectors, etc.)
But i believe i can get more results and save more money if i were to go with the Holley Stealth Ram, because the whole thing would be around $700 bucks while i would spend around $1100+ for accel and scdc baseplate, along with whatever else is needed for it. I was wondering what would be a good set of aftermarket heads to go along with the HSR, that isn't radically expensive, like right under the $1000 mark? I've been doing a lot of research here on this website, which is leaning me towards the HSR. Can anyone help me?

Summit sells what is believed to be Dart Iron Eagle heads under their brand name for about $650/pair, couple guys over at corvetteforum.com have them and said they felt a nice power increase over their stock late 70's L82 vette heads.
Brodix is now selling a set of alum heads for under $1k but I know nothing about them.

Does the intake system need to be smog legal in your local? This might make the decision for you.

No it doesn't. I really want to go with the Holley Stealth Ram, just need help with decent heads. Brodix makes good heads, right? I gotta project coming up this winter and i'm stuck right here on intake and heads.
